What this covers

This is the privacy policy for studioeight.app, the Studio Eight website. It covers the forms and the intake conversation on this site. Our apps are separate. Based and Whisper each have their own policy.

What we collect

We collect what you send us:

• Your name and your email address, when you send an inquiry.
• Your phone number, only if you choose to add it.
• What you type in the intake conversation or the project form.
• The page you were on when you sent it.
• Your current website address, if you fill that field in.
• Your business type and service area when you request a website review.
• Campaign tags in the link you arrived on, like utm_source.

We do not ask for payment details. This site runs no advertising trackers and uses no analytics trackers unless you allow optional site analytics.

Why we collect it

To read your inquiry, scope the work, and reply with a number. Campaign tags tell us which ad or link brought you here. That is the whole reason.

Where it goes

Forms on this site submit through FormSubmit, at formsubmit.co. FormSubmit turns your submission into an email to michael@studioeight.app. Our site shows an on-page confirmation that the request was accepted. Your details pass through FormSubmit on the way to our inbox. That service handles them under its own policy, not ours.

The intake conversation

The chat on this site is an intake agent. What you type is sent to our own endpoint on this site. That endpoint passes the messages to the Anthropic API, which writes the reply. When the agent is not configured, replies are written in your browser instead. We do not keep the conversation on a server. It reaches us in the email you send at the end.

What your browser stores

If configured, Google Analytics loads only after you allow site analytics. It measures visits and accepted inquiries. We do not intentionally send form contents, email addresses, submitted websites, or URL query parameters. Google processes analytics data under its own privacy policy.

Your analytics choice is stored locally. If you allow analytics, Google may set analytics cookies. You can clear this site’s browser storage to reset your choice. No analytics script loads when tracking is unconfigured or declined.

Campaign tags are kept in your browser session storage, under one key. Your browser drops them when you close the tab. We set no advertising cookies. Optional analytics cookies require your consent.

How long we keep it

Your inquiry lives in the Studio Eight email inbox. It stays there while we are talking, and after, as a record of the project. Ask us to delete it and we do.

We never sell it

We do not sell, rent or trade your details. There is no newsletter and no drip sequence. The only companies that touch your details are the ones named above.

Deleting your data

Email michael@studioeight.app and ask us to delete your inquiry. We remove it from the inbox and write back to confirm.

Our apps

Based and Whisper collect their own data inside the apps. Those are covered by the Based privacy policy and the Whisper privacy policy.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page.
